구동사: 동사 + 전치사/ 부사

look at

~을 보다

ex) Look at this robot.

 

look for + 명사

(명사) 을 찾다

ex) What are you looking for?

ex) I'm looking for my diamond ring. (vs. I find it.)

 

look after

 ~을 돌보다

ex) He looks after his son during the day.

ex) Bora can look after herself.

 

look up

(사전, 인터넷) ~을 찾아보다.

ex) Just look it up in a dictionary.

 

look up to

~을 우러러보다.

ex) Kids look up to you. You need to behave properly.

 

look down on

~을 깔보다,

ex) You shouldn't look down on anybody.

 

look back

~을 되돌아보다, 회상하다.

ex) One day, you will look back on this and laugh.

 

looking back

다시 생각해보면,

ex) Looking back, I admit I didn't always do the right thing.
